A small weekly newspaper, THE WEEK, dated August 15, 2008, reported the fact that the City of New York, politicians, and many others have not moved one iota beyond clearing the original debris at the site of the 9/11 tragedy. Instead, we have a multibillion-dollar political football, with plans for a memorial and underground transit hub still in doubt after seven years. Officials call it an international embarrassment.
